Whilst rummaging through my favorite info sites, I ran across this offering passed on by Neal Boortz. He makes the point that if you take the time to watch it, you will be compelled to share it with others. At least where I am concerned, the Talkmaster is once again correct.
For some time I have been of the mind that slick politicians like Obama represent the lowest rung of "civil servant", and that those like him attract primarily two sorts: socialists and sheep. I believe that many folks with Marxist sensibilities do not recognize it in themselves. Hell, I don't even think they understand what exactly socialism is, much less its unavoidable consequences. But they are not my concern here, since they comprise a relatively small potion of the voting public.
Now the sheep on the other hand, well, they vote in massive droves. These are the folks who grew up having their mind-mush developed by MTV, or whatever todays equivalent might be. They are the ones who think they are smart because they were so studiously attentive as their aging hippy college prof taught them not how to think, but what to think. They are the ones who gleefully imbibe all of the politically correct nonsense thrust relentlessly upon us in this distorted and mindless culture of ours. They are the ones most easily manipulated, selling out their mothers for little more than the Devils promise.
It can be argued that there is, in some respects, little difference between and idol and an icon. And a generation groomed on intellectual fare like American idol cannot help but fall for iconography, completely unaware that their delicate little strings are being pulled. In more modern parlance, they are being played like an electric guitar, by a musician who has mastered the strings, but mangles the tune.
