Maybe I just don't get it. The truth is, as I watch conservatives complain against the TSA and the libs defend it, I am left feeling quite confused. With all due respect to my brethren, I think you guys are just losing your grip on this whole TSA thing. Are there things we need to do to tighten it up a bit? Absolutely. But do we really want to pitch the baby with the bath water here? What do we really think our alternatives are, particularly in this insane politically correct culture?
Here's a guy who pretty much sums up my point of view on the subject. What I do not see is anyone with the cajones to actually forward sensible and effective procedures to replace those now under attack. I would expect more from the right, and am quite ashamed that it is the left actually defending the TSA (although not for the right reasons, I am certain).
Get a grip, folks. Until we start doing things that actually make sense...you know, like profiling...if it takes a little virtual nekkidness to make it on the plane, and to my destination without me and mine getting blown up, then so be it. Blame the Islamis for it, not the TSA. Stop bitching about it, and start sending your brilliant ideas to the proper authorities.
For the record, yes, I concede that there may be some TSA workers who have stretched the limits of thier authority....but I ask you, is this not always the case with any organization of size? And yes, nearly strip searching 3 year olds is just plain stupid (or is it? Do we put it past the enemy to use children?)...but it is the PC rules that cause this, is it not?
